The Swan Youth Centre offers positive activities for young people ages 12-18 in a safe, friendly, alcohol and drug free environment

The Swan Youth Centre has successfully delivered to the young people of Berkhamsted and the surrounding villages a safe, alcohol and drug free environment in which to meet with friends, discuss issues that affect them with the group of full time and volunteer youth workers, and participate in a range of diverse rewarding activities. The Swan Youth Centre is a registered charity and has been running in it's current form since 2006. Young people are encouraged to have a sense of ownership of the Centre by including them in decision making which promotes economic well-being and encourages them to make a positive contribution to their environment and community as a whole, and your help and support will help us to continue this fantastic work.

Funding from many different sources has been secured over the four years that the project has been running, but more funding is now needed.
There are many ways in which you can help:-

  • Volunteer your time for a few hours per week to help run the projects.
  • Make a one off donation.
  • Donate a regular monthly amount by direct debit and become a ‘Swan Supporter’
  • Encourage your workplace to take us on as their ‘Charity of the Year’
  • Volunteer your time to run one off workshops such as dance, drama, arts etc
  • Any other ideas you may have.....

The Swan Youth Centre is a rare precious place that provides a safe supportive valued second home to the local young people within the community.
